The U20 Men’s CEV European Ranking List is updated by the CEV after each relevant competition.

Competitions that contribute rankings points are the two most recent editions of the European Championships
including the complete qualification process. Therefore each competitions ranking points are retained on the list for a 4 year period.

European ranking points are attributed to all competing national teams according to their final standing in each applicable competition. All points are only allocated upon the final completion of the respective competition.

The new Ranking Formula has been approved by CEV Board of Administration at the meeting in Berlin (GER) May 17, 2019.

In case of the tie, teams are listed alphabetically.

Due to the many disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic to the 2020 edition, with qualification rounds cancelled and teams unable to travel or to compete at the Final Rounds despite being qualified as per the ranking, the CEV Board of Administration decided to adopt a series of exceptional measures in the attribution of points. These take into account the final standing of the championship, the stage of the competition the teams reached or were eligible to compete at, any withdrawals from the Final Round due to COVID-19 restrictions, the tournaments cancelled because of the pandemic as well as the final standing of any qualification rounds completed before the outbreak of the health crisis.
