Overview
In the 8th Finals of the 2022 CEV Cup, Calcit Volley will be hosting the great Eczacibasi Dynamit Istanbul who will go into the encounter as the favourites. The match will take place at 8pm on a Wednesday, and the rematch is scheduled for Thursday, December 16, in Istanbul.
The former two-time world champions, who also won the Champions League once and the CEV Cup twice, and can boast of a record 28 titles of Turkish national champions, arrived in Kamnik last night. Among the players was not the American opposite Jordan Thompson, who won the gold medal with the USA national team at this year's Olympic Games in Tokyo, with whom they parted ways only days ago.
But the team, which has one of the best players in the world, Serbian Tijana Bošković and one of the best setters in the world, her compatriot Maja Ognjenović, and excellent American game organizer McCenzie Adams, Belgian national team middle-blocker Laura Heyrman and four other Turkish national team players, will hardly miss her presence. It’s easy to say, there has never been such a strong team in the Kamnik sports hall before.
