Maritza PLOVDIV made a true surprise defeating Dinamo MOSCOW who were a favourite of this encounter. The hosts opened the game well, but already in the middle of the set Bulgarians jumped to 14-11 lead. Even if the Russian team managed to erased the gap it was the visitors having control over the game. Hristina Vuchkova and Emiliya Dimitrova of Plovdiv visible improved the game, joing the squad (and starting six!) after their maternity leave. The team from Plovdiv took the first part after 32 minutes of play using their second set point to close it 25-23. Next part was opened confidentially by Moscow who led during the entire set, eventually Natalia KROTKOVA closed it with winning serve. Third part was pretty tight, but Plovdiv struggled with reception giving some favour to their rivals, who by themselves gave away 8 points to visitors! Having two sets one, the Bulgarian team were very focused on their mission, they were highly-motivated to take the win improving the leading during the whole set. Daria Stolyarova of Moscow scored match-high 19 points, one less tallied Aleksandra Milanova from Plovdiv, but MVP title went to her teammate Kremena Kamenova (17 points). Worth to notice that Vuchkova and Dimitrova earned 10 and 11, respectively.
