VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN led for almost whole set, but in the most crucial moment hosts flipped the charts around and in a tight end showed the strength to win 28-26. Knack made a lot of mistakes, giving 12 points to the German team. In the second part situation was almost the same, but the winner was the away team – Roeselare led from the beginning, but did not have the strength to win the set. Coach Micheal Warm’s player improved especially in attack and won 28-26.

Last two sets were full of good volleyball actions. Hendrik Tuerlinckx as a true captain motivated his team and also perform very well this evening. His good efficiency and 24 points scored effected in the MVP title. The starts of the sets were similar, Friedrichshafen began better, but then home team came back to the game and supported by almost full house, confidently led till the end.

Jakub Janouch, setter of VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN: “We had some chances but we lost the first set because the home team put a lot of pressure with their services. We were not focused enough after the second set. I don’t know what happened but we lost the flow we were in. And the home team played very well in block and defence. This European campaign stops now for us. Next week we meet Kedzierzyn and we will use that match to be prepared in our own Bundesliga.”

Brett Walsh, setter of Knack Volley ROESELARE: “We took a bad start with too many serve errors. We had difficulties to bring our regular play but started playing better in set three and four. We created better opportunities in attack. And scored a lot in block and service. In third and foutrh set we controlled the game completely. Now we look forward to the match against Novi Sad next week.”
