The Western European Volleyball Zonal Association (WEVZA) and the Dutch Volleyball Federation (Nevobo) invite (Beach) Volleyball coaches from across Europe to join an online workshop under the slogan ‘How do you combine beach and indoor training?”
With the increasing relevance of Beach Volleyball as an Olympic sport, many countries already have established national Beach Volleyball programmes for a long time. The Dutch Volleyball Federation (Nevobo) has run since 2007 both youth and senior national Beach Volleyball programmes. Moreover, the Netherlands have developed a so-called ‘hybrid’ vision where all talented youth players have the chance to learn both disciplines, playing indoors as well as on sand.
Victor Anfiloff (former head coach Beach Team Netherlands) and Joep van Iersel (FIVB and CEV Technical Supervisor) will share through the webinar the lessons they have learned from the last 10+ years. The topics addressed will include workload management, technical differences, and selection policies in hybrid programmes.
