The game between Dinamo Moscow and RC Cannes was a clash with a lot at stake! The home team was fully focused and motivated from the beginning of the game, however they were far from playing flawless. With Lauren Carlini serving, the team from Moscow managed to earn few point advantage, but the away team tried to do their best to stop the opponent. The key to success was Moscow's block as in this element, only in first set, they scored 7 points! In the second set Moscow controlled the game from the beginning. Yana Shcherban served three aces, once Goncharova scored 10 points, this way the home team easily won also this part. Players of Dinamo with big support from their fans were highly motivated to close the game in three sets. Even if both teams made almost no errors, the hosts were more successful in attack, especially that Goncharova kept the impressive level in spike. In total, she scored 24 points and was named the MVP. The winner took it all, as after beating Cannes, Dinamo Moscow won the Pool E and progressed to the quarterfinals.
